About Us

The Institute for Recovery and Community Integration offers a number of dynamic training packages geared toward personal recovery, the development of peer support, community integration and systems transformation. We offer training and technical assistance around Mental Health Recovery, Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), Facilitator Training, Community Integration and a Certified Peer Specialist Program.

"The Institute wants to spread the word that Recovery is not only possible, but probable.  We want to provide the education and supports needed to help with recovery on both a personal and systemic level, and we want to keep the process moving forward."
   - Christine Simiriglia, Senior Director,
Division of National Technical Assistance, Training and Recovery Initiatives

Our knowledgeable faculty will work to meet your training, technical assistance and planning needs. We are happy to work with consumer groups, providers, counties, states, and federal entities to help facilitate their move toward recovery.

The Institute for Recovery and Community Integration is a program of the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania (www.mhasp.org), and works in collaboration with with National Mental Health Consumer Self Help Clearinghouse (www.mhselfhelp.org).

Our partner, The UPENN Collaborative on Community Integration, is the Rehabilitation Research & Training Center (RRTC) promoting Community Integration of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities. Find out more at www.upennrrtc.org.
