Delaware County Certified Peer Specialist Professional Development and Support Group

Time: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Dates-Third Wednesday of Every Month

This is an established meeting for Certified Peer Specialists who are looking to find support and guidance in their professional development from other Certified Peer Specialists. It is also an opportunity to network, share resources, and hear about upcoming trainings, committee openings, and leadership and job opportunities. Guest speakers come on a fairly regular basis at the end of the meeting to share resources or collect input from CPSs.

Course Description: This workshop is for professional and non-professional supporters of people in recovery from mental health challenges. It is designed so that we understand the importance of Community Integration (CI), its role in recovery, and the facilitation skills needed in supporting others.

Objectives: Participants in this course will be able to

1. Articulate the definition of Community Integration, 12 domains and principles that can be applied in developing CI facilitation strategies.
2. Develop agency action plans and skills to facilitate community integration for people they support in recovery (using roles plays around real life scenarios)
3. List local resources to facilitate CI and incorporate into agency action plans

Delco CPS Supervisor's Meeting

Time: 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

This is an established meeting for CPS Supervisor's to help with supervision of CPSs. The meeting is used as an information exchange for supervisor's for this newly created position. This meeting also provides an opportunity to network, share resources and keep people up-to-date on any recent changes at the state level. The meeting is held every other month on the first Monday of the month.

Delco Advisory Committee Meeting

Time: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Dates: Second Wednesday of Every Month

This is an established meeting of providers in Delaware County. It is an oversight group of the CPS initiative in Delaware County. The meeting is held on the second Wednesday of each month.
