Philadelphia Certified Peer Specialist Professional Development and Support Group

Dates - Third Thursday of Every Month
This is an established meeting for Certified Peer Specialists who are looking to find support and guidance in their professional development from other Certified Peer Specialists. It is also an opportunity to network, share resources, and hear about upcoming trainings, committee openings, and leadership and job opportunities. Guest speakers come on a fairly regular basis at the end of the meeting to share resources or collect input from CPSs.

It is also a meeting for Certified Peer Specialists who are looking to find support and guidance in their professional development from other Certified Peer Specialists. There will be opportunities to network, share resources, hear about upcoming trainings, committee openings, and leadership and job opportunities at this meeting as well. Because this group is newer, it has a lot of potential to evolve based on the needs of the attending CPSs.

Philadelphia WRAP Facilitator Network Meeting
The Philadelphia WRAP Facilitator Networking Meeting and Continuing Education goal is to provide trained Philadelphia WRAP facilitators the opportunity to network, support each other as well as continue their education as WRAP Facilitators. There will be two meetings scheduled from 10 to 12 noon and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month. Please note the new location at MHASP's newest high tech facility, The Well at 2709 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA.

2 Day Developing WRAP workshops
Upcoming Trainings to Be Announced
The 2 Day Developing WRAP workshop's goal is to facilitate the development and understanding of Mary Ellen Copeland's Wellness Recovery Action Plan. The workshop will cover the history and dev elopement of Mary Ellen Copeland's research and discussion of the 5 Key Recovery topics as well as a thorough instruction of the structure of WRAP. This training serves as the required prerequisite training to apply for the 5 Day WRAP facilitator training.
5 Day WRAP Facilitator Training workshops
Upcoming Trainings to Be Announced
The 5 Day WRAP Facilitator Training goal is to provide an understanding of the facilitator skills and the values and ethics that are necessary for those wishing to facilitate WRAP workshops. Participants must have a thorough grasp on their own personal use of Wellness Recovery Action Plan and the 5 Key Concepts. This training is a practicum intense training. Participants will be presenting and demonstrating in front of the class skills necessary to be a facilitator as well as presenting parts of WRAP. Attendance is not a guarantee of certification.
