James Gottstein examines involuntary commitment and forced psychiatric drugging in particular regard to two recent Alaska Supreme Court cases, Myers v.
Alaska Psychiatric Institute and Wetherhorn v. Alaska Psychiatric Institute. He stresses that unless these two recent landmark court decisions are honored in practice, the constitutional and statutory rights of individuals will continue to be violated. Reprinted with permission of author.
